Managing Your Profile
Your Cockato user profile contains personal information, authentication credentials, and notification preferences. This guide walks through updating profile settings and managing account security.
Accessing Your Profile
- Click your avatar or initials in the top-right corner of any Cockato page
- Select Profile from the dropdown menu
Alternatively, navigate directly to Settings → Profile.
Profile Information
You can update the following personal details:

| Full Name | Displayed in the staff activity log and email signatures. |
| Email Address | Used for login, password resets, and system notifications. Changing your email requires re-verification. |
| Phone Number | (Optional) Used for two-factor authentication if enabled. |
| Profile Photo | Displayed in the sidebar and activity logs. Upload a square image (PNG or JPG, max 2 MB). |
💡 Tip: A recognizable profile photo helps other team members identify your actions in the Activity Log.
Password Management
Cockato uses Supabase Auth for secure password handling. To change your password:
- Open the Profile page
- Click Change Password
- Enter your current password for verification
- Enter a new password (minimum 8 characters, must include letters and numbers)
- Click Update Password
If you have forgotten your password:
- Return to the Login page
- Click Forgot Password?
- Enter your email address
- Check your inbox for a password reset link (valid for 1 hour)
⚠️ Security Tip: Use a strong, unique password and consider enabling a password manager like 1Password or Bitwarden.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Cockato supports email-based two-factor authentication for added security.
Enabling 2FA:
- Navigate to Profile → Security
- Toggle Two-Factor Authentication to On
- You will receive a 6-digit code via email on your next login
Disabling 2FA:
- Navigate to Profile → Security
- Toggle Two-Factor Authentication to Off
- Confirm with your password
💡 Note: Organization Owners can require 2FA for all team members from Organization Settings → Security Policies (Enterprise plans only).
Notification Preferences
Control which email notifications you receive from Cockato:
| Notification Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Activity Alerts | Email when key events occur (e.g., new customer signups, high-value redemptions). |
| Billing Updates | Subscription renewals, payment failures, invoices. |
| Product Announcements | New features, platform updates. |
| Weekly Digest | Summary of your organization's loyalty program performance. |
Toggle each preference on or off from Profile → Notifications.
Session Management
Cockato sessions expire after 7 days of inactivity. To manually log out:
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner
- Select Log Out
If you suspect unauthorized access:
- Change your password immediately
- Review the Activity Log for suspicious actions
- Contact support if you notice unfamiliar activity
Deleting Your Account
To permanently delete your Cockato user account:
- Scroll to the Danger Zone at the bottom of the Profile page
- Click Delete My Account
- Enter your password to confirm
⚠️ Warning:
- You cannot delete your account if you are the sole owner of an organization with active data.
- Account deletion is irreversible. All your profile data will be permanently removed.
