Managing Organization Settings

Managing Organization Settings

Your organization settings control the core identity, branding, and localization for your tenant on Cockato. This guide walks through the available configuration options and how they affect the customer experience.

General Settings

Accessible via Settings → Organization for users with the owner or admin role.

SettingImpact
Organization NameThe internal name used in dashboards and staff interfaces.
Public Brand Name(If different) The name displayed to customers on wallet passes and the Customer Portal.
Website URLLinked from the Customer Portal and used for support references.
Contact EmailThe primary email address for billing notifications and system alerts.

Branding & Appearance

Cockato allows you to customize the visual identity of customer-facing touchpoints (Customer Portal, Web Signup, Emails).

Upload your brand logo. We recommend:

  • Format: PNG with a transparent background
  • Size: At least 400x400 pixels
  • Ratio: Square (1:1) works best for wallet passes

Brand Colors

  • Primary Color: Used for main call-to-action buttons, active states, and wallet pass backgrounds.
  • Secondary Color: Used for accents, secondary text, and wallet pass text elements.

💡 Tip: Use the built-in color picker or enter a precise HEX code (e.g., #FF5733) to perfectly match your brand guidelines.

Localization

Setting the correct localization ensures currency symbols, dates, and phone numbers are formatted correctly for your region.

SettingDescription
CountryDefines the default country code for new customer signups (e.g., +1 for US, +61 for AU).
TimezoneControls how timestamps are displayed in the activity log and when scheduled marketing campaigns are sent.
Base CurrencyThe currency used for calculating points (e.g., 1 Point per 1 USD). This cannot be easily changed once transactions exist.

API & Developer Settings

If you are integrating Cockato with a custom POS or external system, you can manage your integration credentials here:

  • API Keys: Generate, view, or revoke Secret Keys for server-to-server communication.
  • Webhooks: Configure endpoint URLs to receive real-time event notifications (e.g., customer.created, points.earned).

⚠️ Security Warning: Never share your API Secret Key or commit it to a public codebase. If a key is compromised, revoke it immediately from the API Keys menu.

Deleting Your Organization

If you need to permanently close your account and delete all data:

  1. Scroll to the "Danger Zone" at the bottom of the Organization Settings page.
  2. Click Delete Organization.
  3. Type your organization name to confirm.

Note: Only the Organization Owner can perform this action. Deletion is irreversible and immediately cancels any active Stripe subscriptions.
