Master Partner Guide
As a master partner, you have full access to the Cockato partner ecosystem including affiliate management, referral tracking, commission monitoring, and network growth.
Accessing Your Dashboard
Log in to your Cockato account and navigate to the Partner section. Your dashboard provides:
| Section | Information |
|---|---|
| Overview Stats | Total referrals, active customers, pending commissions |
| Recent Activity | Latest referral clicks, signups, and conversions |
| Commission Summary | Earnings for current and past periods |
| Affiliate Network | Performance overview of your affiliate partners |
Managing Referral Links
Create and manage custom referral links for your own direct referrals:
- Go to Referral Links in the partner section.
- Click Create Link.
- Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Facebook Campaign", "Email Newsletter").
- Your unique referral code is automatically generated.
- Copy and share the link.
Each link tracks clicks, signups, and conversions independently, letting you measure performance across different marketing channels.
💡 Tip: Create separate links for each channel and name them descriptively for easy performance comparison.
Recruiting Affiliates
Master partners can build a network of affiliate partners who refer customers on your behalf:
Sending Invitations
- Go to the Affiliates section.
- Click Invite Affiliate.
- Fill in affiliate details:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Company Name | Affiliate's business name |
| Contact Name | Primary contact person |
| Contact Email | Where invitation is sent |
| Contact Phone | Optional phone number |
- Set their commission share percentages.
- Send the invitation.
The affiliate receives an email with a link to accept and create their account.
Invitation Management
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Invitation sent, awaiting response |
| Clicked | Affiliate clicked the link |
| Accepted | Affiliate joined the program |
| Declined | Affiliate declined the invitation |
| Expired | Invitation expired (7-day default) |
You can resend expired invitations or cancel pending ones.
Commission Share Configuration
When inviting an affiliate, you set their share of your commission:
| Setting | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Year 1 Share % | Percentage of your Y1 commission shared with affiliate | 50% |
| Recurring Share % | Percentage of your recurring commission shared | 30% |
How Commission Flows
Customer pays $100/mo subscription
→ Platform calculates master commission (e.g., 20% = $20)
→ If affiliate referred: Year 1 share applied (e.g., 50% of $20 = $10 to affiliate)
→ Master retains remainder ($10)
💡 Tip: Competitive commission shares attract quality affiliates. Consider offering higher Year 1 shares to incentivize active recruitment, with lower recurring shares for long-term sustainability.
Maximum Share Limits
Your commission tier may define a maximum affiliate share cap. You cannot offer shares exceeding this limit.
Monitoring Your Network
Affiliate Performance
Track each affiliate's contribution:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Total Clicks | Link clicks generated |
| Signups | Account registrations attributed |
| Conversions | Paid subscriptions from referrals |
| Commission Generated | Total earnings from their referrals |
Customer Attribution
View all customers attributed to your network:
- Organization name and signup date
- Referring partner (you or an affiliate)
- Current subscription plan and status
- Commission history for each customer
Commission Ledger
Your commission ledger shows all earnings:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Organization | The referred business |
| Invoice Amount | Subscription payment |
| Commission Rate | Your tier rate |
| Commission Amount | Your earned amount |
| Affiliate Share | Amount shared with affiliate (if applicable) |
| Period | Year 1 or Recurring |
